Keynote Speaker:

Donny Deutsch
“Scramjet” of the advertising world
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Deutsch Inc.

As Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Deutsch Inc., Deutsch’s “leaner, meaner, faster, smarter” philosophy helped him build Deutsch Inc. into the nation’s 9th largest advertising agency. The world’s largest privately held advertising company before becoming part of Interpublic (IPG) in 2000, Deutsch works with blue-chip clients including Mitsubishi Motors, Johnson & Johnson, Revlon, Coors, Snapple, Novartis, Bank of America, Expedia and Monster. Adweek named his Agency “National Advertising Agency of the Year” for the fourth time in five years, and in 2002 Advertising Age also named Deutsch “National Advertising Agency of the Year.” Deutsch is a catalyzing business figure and has expanded his reach into the media world through a variety of business endeavors that connect with consumers and viewers.

Deutsch is frequently called upon to comment on industry trends and to share marketing insights by all major media outlets, including 60 Minutes, The Today Show, Good Morning America and 48 Hours. His relationship as a commentator on CNBC has led to a deal with the network to host a series of prime time specials, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch,” as well as to serve as a periodic guest host for “Squawk Box” and a substitute co-host for “Kudlow & Cramer.” CNBC President and CEO Pamela Thomas-Graham noted, “Donny is informed, opinionated and influential, all the ingredients that make for compelling television.”

Deutsch has also made his foray into the independent film business with New York based production company Open City Films. The company is now called Deutsch Open City and is developing and producing mid-to-high budget movies. And, in a book due out in 2004, in his own candid style Deutsch will use his career and experiences to explain how best to manage creative people, how to treat clients and how to craft a message that has authority and authenticity in today’s media environment. HarperCollins Publishers will publish the book.

He also had a brief turn in politics as a lead member of the Clinton/Gore communications team in 1992. Deutsch is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a proud member of the Fox Foundation’s Board of Directors.
