It’s Full Throttle for the CTAM Summit

Chris Albrecht, Donny Deutsch, Tom Werner and Michael Willner to Keynote

(Alexandria, VA – April 26, 2004) CTAM (Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) and the CTAM Summit co-chairs, Kathleen A. Dore, President Entertainment Services, Rainbow Media Holdings, Inc., and Pamela Euler Halling, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Programming, Insight Communications, have unveiled the theme for Summit 04, Full Throttle.

The CTAM Summit is scheduled for July 18-21, 2004 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. As cable’s premier educational marketing and management conference, industry leaders fire up the marketing engines to redefine cable’s place in the consumer’s mind. This year’s gathering brings together the brightest from in and outside the industry to help attendees make the most of cable’s unique advantages and send profits into overdrive.

  • Chris Albrecht, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Home Box Office
In the winner’s circle with HBO’s domination of original premium programming, films – and Sunday nights – is Chris Albrecht. He’s guided the network to the pole position, as the world’s largest premium television company, with multiple networks and genres, while maintaining HBO’s stellar reputation for brand management and marketing excellence.

  • Donny Deutsch, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deutsch Inc.
Deutsch’s high-combustion philosophy has thrust his agency to the nation’s ninth largest. From handling A-list clients, to hosting the prime time CNBC specials, “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch,” to launching an independent film studio, Deutsch is a multi-talented guy for our fast-paced multi-media world.

  • Tom Werner, Partner and Co-Founder of Carsey - Werner - Mandabach, Chairman of the Boston Red Sox
Tom Werner co-drives one of the most successful independent studios in television history, Carsey-Werner-Mandabach. In addition to producing such network hits as The Cosby Show, Roseanne and That '70s Show, he has joined forces with Geraldine Laybourne and Oprah Winfrey to create Oxygen, and recently launched CWM's feature film division with Paramount Studios. Werner splits his time between Carsey-Werner-Mandabach and the Boston Red Sox, which he helps guide as Chairman of the ball club.

  • Michael S. Willner, Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Insight Communications
Michael Willner brings an unequaled perspective to the Summit. A consummate cable leader, Willner is known for his innovation. He consistently pushes the envelope with new services and always delivers on the promise — which is why he’s earned this year’s Grand TAM Award.
