Julian A. Brodsky is Recipient of CTAM’s 2004 Chairman’s Award
(Alexandria, VA – June 7, 2004) CTAM Chairman Len Fogge, EVP Creative & Marketing, Showtime Networks, has selected
Julian A. Brodsky, Co-Founder, Director and Vice Chairman of Comcast Corporation, as the distinguished recipient of the
CTAM Chairman’s Award. Brodsky is being recognized for his extraordinary support of the
CTAM Educational Foundation and CTAM's Executive Management Program at the Harvard Business
School.
Brodsky joined the CTAM Educational Foundation Board of Directors in 1997 and has served as Vice Chairman since 1999. The organization’s mission is to improve consumer satisfaction with cable television, new media and communication services by increasing the marketing knowledge of all who create and deliver these services to consumers. He helped recruit a number of the Top 50 Founders and 34 companies who provide the financial underpinning for the Foundation.
The Foundation’s core initiative – CTAM’s Executive Management Program or CTAM U. – has flourished under Brodsky’s strategic guidance and leadership. Brodsky joined with Ralph Roberts and Comcast to endow the annual Dan Aaron Lecture for Innovative Management before the inaugural class. Each year, Brodsky selects, accompanies and presents an industry leader for the Lecture – cable luminaries such as Robert Miron, Leo Hindery, Decker Anstrom, Amos Hostetter and Henry Schlieff – and he himself engages in a dialogue with the class participants. In addition, Brodsky helps choose and recruit the financial analyst who presents to each CTAM U. class.
“Over the years, Brodsky has spoken at CTAM conferences, and provided guidance and support to CTAM leaders on the financial arena that controls the industry’s success,” said CTAM Chairman Fogge. “Brodsky has been a great friend and contributor to CTAM, and we’re thrilled to recognize his extraordinary support,” continued Fogge.
The award will be presented during a special tribute at the CTAM Summit, Full Throttle, scheduled for July 18-21, 2004 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. For more information, please visit the
