CTAM Honors Extraordinary Volunteer Leaders

(Alexandria, VA – June 28, 2004) CTAM (Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) announces the distinguished recipients of the 2004 TAMI Awards, given annually to outstanding member volunteers who have contributed significantly to the overall success and growth of the organization. The TAMI Award recognizes recipients’ creativity and effort in the development of various events and programs.

CTAM’s 2004 TAMI Award winners are:

Tom Alexander, Vice President, Trade Marketing, Cartoon Network 
For stimulating the Mark Awards Committee and staff to continue to push the envelope, raising the image and prestige of the Mark Awards.

Ken Fitzpatrick, Senior Vice President, Time Warner Cable 
For co-chairing successful 2003 and 2004 CTAM Commercial Services Seminars and helping identify the players in this segment.

Kim Lemon, Senior Vice President, Showtime Networks 
For his leadership (with 2001 TAMI winner Fontana Fitzwilson) in upgrading the 2004 Research Conference to set record attendance and satisfaction scores.

Patti Marciano, Regional Vice President, Affiliate Sales and Marketing, Fox Cable Networks 
For her outstanding leadership of chapters as 2003 President of CTAM of Southern California and a member of the Chapters' Council, plus other contributions including the development of www.onlycablecan.com. 

Robert Wharton and Duane Dick, Senior Partners, Sand Cherry Associates
For helping lead CTAM's retail initiatives and executing a number of individual projects. 

Mark Hess, Vice President, Digital TV, Comcast Cable Communications 
For his leadership (with Sergei Kuharsky) in developing the program for the 2004 Digital & Broadband Conference and his strong support and involvement in the On Demand Consortium.

Sergei Kuharsky, Senior Vice President, Marketing, iNDEMAND
For his leadership (with Mark Hess) in developing the program for the 2004 Digital & Broadband Conference and his strong support and involvement in the On Demand Consortium.

The 2004 TAMI Awards will be presented during a special ceremony at The CTAM Summit, Full Throttle, scheduled for July 18-21, 2004 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston.
