Jon Bon Jovi
Musician, Actor, Sports Owner
Monday, July 25, 10:30am -
11:15am |
Musician, singer, songwriter
and actor, JON BON JOVI is most famous as the voice for the
band BON JOVI. Since the group’s formation in the early
1980’s, Bon Jovi have sold more than 100 million records
worldwide and more than 32 million fans in 47 countries have
seen them in concert. Bon Jovi will release a new album this
fall with a world tour to follow.
In addition to his status as a musician, Jon has built an
impressive resume for his acting career appearing in a dozen
motion pictures (including "Moonlight and Valentino" and
"U-571") and appearing on television, including a recurring
role on “Ally McBeal."
In 2003, Jon Bon Jovi introduced the Arena Football League
(AFL) to the city of Philadelphia. Jon’s goal was to
introduce a new type of sports owner. The Philadelphia
Soul’s mission to help the community is a cornerstone of the
team’s identity. Before the team had played their first ever
game in their 2004 inaugural season, the Soul had given more
than $200,000 to local causes. Over the course of the first
and second seasons, team members, dancers and Jon himself
made numerous public appearances and visits as
representatives of the Soul in the community, donated a
$70,000 playground to a local children’s home, brought
thousands of local children to witness the football team
practice and play and the total of monies donated to
Philadelphia charities has reached half a million dollars.

We look to the world of sports for marketing lessons from two
established winners. NASCAR and the New England Patriots
have grown huge and incredibly passionate fan bases, using a
constant connection that is fostered via focused strategies by
leveraging media. Add the need to maximize multiple revenue
