How it works      
Several new capabilities are coming into play:

  • Interactive software technologies including EBIF and tru2way® enable advertisers to add interactive features to commercials, and even provide home shopping via the TV remote.

  • Other technology at the headend can give local cable systems the ability to deliver targeted ads segmented by individual geographic zones.

  • Dynamic ad insertion provides easier, flexible ad insertion in on-demand content.
     
  •  Addressable advertising technology delivers ads to specific set-tops based upon audience demographics and personal preferences, accurately measured on an anonymous, private basis.
