The CTAM/Multichannel News Mark Awards is the premier competition for recognizing marketing excellence in cable and broadband, honoring outstanding achievements in strategic marketing, and spotlighting the creators of the work.

This year, over 1,000 marketing efforts were submitted to be reviewed by cable's top marketers.  After two rounds of judging in the first half of 2006, the winners were announced at the Mark Awards Ceremony on July 17th at the Summit in Boston.

MTV Networks received the most honors among the content providers, winning a total 19 Mark Awards, eight gold and 11 silver, followed by Turner Broadcasting, Inc. with 16, four gold and 12 silver. Comcast Cable and Time Warner Cable tied among cable companies for the most Mark Awards with a total of nine each. Comcast Cable took home five gold and four silver awards and Time Warner Cable won three gold and six silver. Cablevision Systems Corporation followed with six Mark Awards, four gold and two silver.

The fourth annual Top of the Mark Award, which recognizes the top-scoring campaign, was awarded to Turner Network Television (TNT) for their INTO THE WEST campaign.
