Vicki Lins Named CTAM President and CEO
Highly-Regarded Chief Marketing Officer Brings New Perspective to Top Job
(National Harbor, MD – December 10, 2015) CTAM is pleased to announce the appointment of Vicki Lins as the new CTAM president and CEO, following John Lansing’s departure in September.
”Vicki is first and foremost a seasoned senior marketer with deep experience in media and technology businesses. In turn, she has worked closely with distributors, programmers, suppliers and agencies, and has a strong network of connections that puts her in an optimum position to build bridges and align CTAM members as we move forward together,” said Mark Greatrex, chair of the CTAM Board of Directors, and EVP, chief marketing and sales officer, Cox Communications. “The selection committee uniformly agreed that she will bring new energy and perspective to help CTAM positively position the collective brand, strengthen the pay-TV business model, and market best-in-class consumer experiences.”
Ms. Lins’ two most recent positions were as EVP and chief marketing officer for United Way Worldwide and Clear Channel Outdoor, where she directed strategic transformations to reposition the brands and businesses for greater success. Prior to Clear Channel, Lins spent 15 years at Comcast and Canoe Ventures, the industry's advanced television consortium, where she led marketing, most notably launching the Comcast Spotlight brand, pioneering Video On Demand advertising solutions, and developing an industry-wide consumer brand for interactive TV. Previous to Comcast, Lins headed marketing and communications for Adlink, introducing strategic marketing initiatives and building partnerships that accelerated revenue growth.
“I’m excited by the prospect of returning to the industry in this dynamic and fast-paced business environment, and to build on CTAM’s highly-regarded successes,” said Lins. "In addition to the programs and products CTAM develops, I believe the organization is well-positioned to elevate and amplify the innovative consumer experiences that CTAM members provide today and are developing for the future."
While serving in the industry, Lins received numerous awards for breakthrough marketing efforts, was recognized by “Multichannel News” and Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) as a "Woman to Watch" and appeared on the industry's list of "Most Influential Women." She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter, and is active in numerous professional and social impact organizations.
Lins assumes the role as CTAM President and CEO at the start of the new year. The search was conducted by Howard Fischer Associates.
