According to CTAM’s latest research into connected consumers, some 60% of
respondents in the U.S. and Canada said that the availability of “free” online
content from illegal providers isn’t a catalyst to cut the cord or otherwise
downgrade their subscription video services. Rather, it’s just another source.
Why this matters: With 60% of respondents stating that viewing pirated
content is not a trigger to cut the cord, there’s still 40% of consumers who
haven’t responded either way.
