As president of Xumo, Marcien Jenckes oversees all aspects of the newly formed joint venture between Comcast and Charter, including product direction, distribution and go-to-market plans, content strategy and monetization models. Concurrently, he serves as managing director of Comcast Advertising, including Effectv, Comcast Cable’s ad sales division, and FreeWheel, a technology platform connecting buyers and sellers.

Prior to these roles, Marcien served as the president of Comcast Advertising. Before that, he was executive vice president of Comcast’s Consumer Services division, overseeing the company’s residential lines of business, including Xfinity Video, Xfinity Internet, Xfinity Home and Xfinity Voice.

Before joining Comcast, Marcien was an entrepreneur, involved with a host of digital advertising and media syndication start-ups including Grab Networks and Voxant. He also held a variety of leadership roles at AOL Inc., where he launched AOL’s free web services, including the AOL.com portal. Prior to AOL, Marcien worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in its media and telecom practice.

Marcien holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and a BA in economics and political science from New York University.
