Championing the need for a landscape view of password sharing

Tenacity should be Todd’s middle name. He’s been championing the need for a landscape view of password sharing for years. Needless to say is was definitely a journey along winding and sometimes dirt roads. But through his tenacity and Adobe’s willingness to support, Adobe Account IQ (Beta) was launched earlier this year. This would not have happened without Todd’s commitment to the initiative and to CTAM. He is definitely a warrior for the cause.

A 12-year veteran at Adobe, Todd Greenbaum currently leads all initiatives centered around TV Everywhere. Todd is a founding member of the Emmy® award winning Adobe Pass service which powers authentication for more than 500 TV-E apps across 650+ MVPDs.  Most recently, and in partnership with CTAM, Todd has led the initiative to analyze TV-E consumption patterns to curb fraud and identify new monetization opportunities.  Prior to Adobe, Todd held leadership roles at a number of technology start-ups, including Netscape. Todd holds B.S. and B.A. degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Thunderbird. Todd serves as an officer and board member of the OATC and the non-profit, Care4Africa, Inc.

“As a TV Everywhere pioneer Todd has relentlessly pushed for an improved user experience and increased adoption. And it’s become such a good experience that everyone started sharing credentials. With Account IQ he’s now using machine learning to safeguard the rightful owners accounts and keep the industry safe. In other words, he’s created the problem and he’s fixing it too. He might be an evil genius… All we know is that we thank him for all his work!”

Vice President, Sales Channel Strategy
Cox Communications

Pivoting upon the onset of COVID-19 to focus on broader sales strategy discussion

John Hays has been a strong supporter of the CTAM Sales Group over the years. He has been a role model for his peers in the group, by proactively sharing best practices, providing thought-provoking ideas and leading valuable discussion. He even finds ways to embark on time-consuming, but valuable projects that benefit our industry. This year, John led the Retail Sales topic group, and helped the group pivot upon the onset of COVID-19, to focus on broader sales strategy discussion. John is a terrific partner to CTAM, and we feel fortunate to have his contribution for the entire industry.

John Hays is the Vice President of Sales Channel Strategy & Performance for Cox Communications. John is responsible for the overall sales channel strategy—ensuring appropriate focus and rigor in planning process for channel mix, customer preference, and customer segment buying behaviors   He directly manages multiple functional areas within the sales organization – Channel Strategy for Call Centers, Retail & Direct Sales, Channel Planning, Go to Market Strategy, and Compensation, Incentives & Performance Management Design.

“After hiring John Hays into a Sales Strategy role during my tenure at Cox, I was immediately impressed by his innate analytical abilities as well as his ability to see the big picture. He worked diligently to build the right relationships with key partners in functions like Finance and business operations. During the time that I served as the Sales and Marketing Council Chair for CTAM, John was very engaged and helpful in setting the pace for sharing and leading task teams across the MSO’s. I’m proud of John for this recognition and it’s well deserved. I look forward to seeing what else John will accomplish.”

CTAM would like to recognize Jennifer Ingram, Vice President, SMB Marketing, Charter for her exceptional leadership in important industry projects. As the Business Services Group Chairperson, Jennifer is the driving force behind the success of the many MSO Business Services programs. Her unyielding push to grow the SMB Working group has led to a successful collaboration among all the MSOs. Jennifer and her team continue to challenge previous goals, consistently adding new and creative ideas to help grow cable’s success in the Business Services Market.

Jennifer Ingram is responsible for developing and executing the go to market strategy for the Small & Medium Business segment at Charter Communications. Jennifer drives customer and revenue growth through a comprehensive program across digital, mass media, direct marketing and social channels and has broad and deep small business, B2B and consumer marketing experience across industries.

Piracy

Leading consumer-centric effort to address the $50B+ threat of content theft

Don Jones

Comcast

Don Jones

Director of Strategic Fraud Intelligence
Comcast

The “walking encyclopedia” of all things piracy.

Don can be compared to the “walking encyclopedia” of all things piracy. Got a technical question about piracy? Call Don. Got a about question about the different types of piracy? Ask Don. In addition to being scary smart, he’s extremely responsive and one of the politest people we’ve ever worked with. Thus – the total TAMI package. Congratulations Don!

As Comcast’s Director of Strategic Fraud Intelligence, Don focuses his effort in many areas. With years of experience in fraud with many companies, his creative and analytical thinking has made an impact with Comcast, the entertainment industry as well as law enforcement. He takes accountability uniformly, whether it’s for his job protecting Comcast and its subscribers or in his personal life he has an insatiable need for the truth (which drives his caffeine requirements).

”Our partnership has meant a great deal to me since CTAM has been such pivotal partner in the education of consumers. If I were to be giving an award, I would to CTAM for the award earning velvet glove in which you use to help consumers as well as the entertainment business and MSO community.”

Don Jones, Director of Strategic Fraud Intelligence and Investigations, Comcast

“Don has created several anti-piracy tools that are now at use at Comcast  and other industry partners. He is the man, in the middle of the night, chasing pirates through the dark pools and eddies of the Internet.”

Metadata Management

Leveraging the data to increase content discoverability and strengthen brand exposure to attract viewers

Jeff Kreger

Align Broadcasting

Jeff Kreger

President
Align Broadcasting

Influencing substantive discussion and recommendations for complex metadata management processes

Jeff Kreger is an indelible member of CTAM and an active contributor to this year’s search and navigation work. His extensive experience with metadata management influences substantive discussion, and guides recommendations for the often challenging and complex process of ensuring content accuracy so that viewers can easily search and find their favorite shows across many MVPDs and digital platforms.

Says Jeff: “Proud to be a part of a great team of folks at Align Broadcasting, working with MVPDs to understand how to monetize and merchandise transactional content, and drive viewers from impulse to purchase faster. When I am not obsessing over metadata, I am trying to figure out how to get plumbers and electricians to show up on time while my wife and I restore and renovate homes.”
