National Harbor, MD (October 18, 2022) — CTAM, the industry’s entertainment and technology marketing and communications organization, is pleased to announce the 2022 Beacon and TAMI Award winners. 

Annie Howell, Chief Communications Officer, Hallmark Media, will receive the 2022 Beacon Award for Communications Excellence. The award spotlights distinguished communications leaders who epitomize success in the discipline, demonstrate innovation and creativity, and inspire excellence in others.

A seasoned communications executive with over 30 years of experience, Annie Howell currently oversees Hallmark Media’s communication functions, including corporate communications, media relations, publicity, and government relations, as well as talent relations and events.

In addition, CTAM announces its roster of the 2022 CTAM TAMI Award winners, honoring individuals for their exceptional contributions to initiatives critical to driving the continued success of the industry. 

2022 CTAM TAMI recipients: 

  • Benjamin Toombs, Senior Program Manager, Warner Bros. Discovery, for his important contribution to CTAM’s piracy and password sharing initiative. Ben’s experience managing fraud provided valuable insights, ultimately furthering industry efforts to educate consumers about the risks of accessing content from illegitimate sources.
     
  • Robert McFarland, AVP, Segment Marketing, Cox Communications, for his exceptional leadership and his unyielding efforts to drive collaboration among CTAM member companies to accelerate cable’s success in the Business Services Market.
     
  • Tom Adams, Advisor to the Chief Operating Officer & Former EVP, Field Operations, Charter Communications, for his commitment, leadership, and financial stewardship on the CTAM Educational Foundation Audit Committee and Foundation Board of Directors. Tom’s unwavering dedication and guidance in his leadership role have contributed to the continued growth and success of the CTAM Educational Foundation.
